Canyoning and Climbing

Sliding down eroded smooth rocks and swimming through clear water-filled passages excites the senses, and all while being continually surrounded by mountains teaming with natural wildlife. The scenery of the surrounding scenery of the Costa del Sol provides a plethora of contrasts for the climber. Mountain shelters and free camping is provided in certain areas and some of the highest mountains in the region are to be found in the Sierra Nevada.

Skiing

The Sierra Nevada mountains, situated in Granada within the Penibetico range, provide an easily accessible and varied skiing resort. Downhill, cross-country and adventure skiing can be enjoyed between October and April where the snow contrasts with the warm, dry climate of the area.
